Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A health-focused K-12 educational setting in Chicago, IL is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support student communication development throughout the current school year on a contract basis. This role plays a critical part in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders within a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students K-12
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs and goals
- Provide direct therapy services to students in one-on-one and small group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress, and compliance with school policies
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as required
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working as an SLP within school settings (K-12 preferred)
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and intervention techniques
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with current educational regulations and individualized education program (IEP) processes
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse student populations
